Eastern Alliance for Production Katahdins (EAPK)

As a founding member of EAPK, I encourage any producer interested in raising registered, commercial or even cross-bred Katahdin sheep to join this organization. Eastern Alliance was formed to provide science-based education to both new and experienced shepherds by posting educational blogs and hosting webinars on health, management and genetic selection. Our quarterly newsletter keeps EAPK members up-to-date on upcoming events like our annual Symposium & Sale, KHSI breed association news and genetic updates from the National Sheep Improvement Program (NSIP). Our annual educational Symposium is a great opportunity to meet like-minded shepherds and learn from sheep research scientists, forage specialists and experienced producers on sheep health, management and genetic selection.
